Panasonic is a Japanese electronics company that produces a large variety of consumer products ranging from televisions to digital cameras and beyond. The company was created in 1918 and his since become one of the largest electronics producers in the world along with other big names such as Sony and Toshiba.
All in all, Panasonic is a very well respected company that has been around for quite some time. They’re known for creating quality products in the form of all kinds of electronics including TVs, cameras, cell phones, and, of course, electric razors.
Aside from all that they also have a popular line of foil-style electric shavers and other body grooming tools. They aren’t nearly as widely used as Braun or Remington razors but they do often receive rave reviews for the quality of their shaving products. Pricing for Panasonic shavers range from $30 all the way to a whopping $600 but the best prices are always found on Amazon.
Top 5 Panasonic electric shavers :
Panasonic doesn’t have a ton of shavers but we have thoroughly tested and reviewed several of them. The 5 listed below are the ones we found to be the absolute best that the company has to offer. We rated these based on the closeness of shave, comfort of use, durability, pricing, and several other factors. Overall, these are the 5 best Panasonic shavers available.
1. Panasonic ES-LV81-K Arc5 Men’s Electric Shaver
The Arc5 is by far Panasonic’s most impressive razor. It’s a bit pricey but it’s also an extremely quality shaver that will leave your face feeling as smooth as a baby’s bottom. It’s a foil-style shaver with 5 blades and vibrating foil constructed to give the cleanest, most thorough shaving experience possible.
The head of the Arc5 has a 14,000 CPM (cycles per minute) motor and a multi-flex pivot that makes it easy to go over edgy contours such as rugged jaw lines and chins. And it does so without tugging hairs or leaving you with annoying razor burn like similar shavers. It’s also a wet/dry unit meaning you can use this razor in the shower without damaging it in the least.
The Panasonic Arc5 also comes with a popup trimmer for touching up your beard edges or mustache. Plus, when purchased from Amazon, you’ll also get the automatic cleaning and recharging system which cleans, dries, and charges the shaver. The cleaning system helps to increase the longevity of the razor by keeping the blades sharp and the entire unit as clean as possible.
Overall, this is the most highly recommended Panasonic electric shaver. It typically sells for $375 to $400 but is available on Amazon for a lower, more reasonable price.
2. Panasonic ES-LA63-S Arc4 Shaver
The ES-LA63-S, more commonly referred to as simply the Arc4, is another great razor from Panasonic. It’s very similar to the Arc5 model but instead of featuring a 5 blade setup it has just a 4 blade cutting system. It also doesn’t come with a full cleaning system like the Arc5 but instead has a sonic vibration cleaning mode that makes cleaning the head slightly easier.
Other than those couple of minor differences, the Arc4 is almost identical to the Arc5 and is about half the price. It still provides a very smooth, clean shave using a 14,000 CPM motor and also has the multi-flex pivoting head. This unit generally takes about an hour to charge and a full charge results in about a 45 minute run-time. Its also waterproof which allows for use in the shower.
The Arc4 is a good bit more popular than its more expensive upgraded brother and has received countless positive reviews. With a more affordable price tag this Panasonic shaver may be the better option if you’re on a tighter budget.
3. Panasonic ES-RF31-S 4 Blade Electric Razor
The ES-RF31-S is a budget-priced shaver that provides decent results for the price. This unit features a 4 blade, ultra-thin foil system with blades that are capable of flexing up to 30 degrees making it a snap to conform to the contours of the face. It provides a moderately comfortable shave that causes minimal irritation and leaves you feeling pretty smooth.
The ES-RF31-S isn’t quite as comfy to use as our number 1 and 2 selections, and it doesn’t give as close of a shave but it’s also a much cheaper razor. Overall, it’s great for how affordable it is. So if you’re looking for a decent shaver that’s in the under $100 bracket, this is a great choice.
4. Panasonic ES-SL41-S 3 Blade Electric Razor
Panasonic’s ES-SL41-S is another budget-priced shaver. The SL41 is almost identical to the RF31 with the exception of its cutting system. Instead of a 4 blade setup it uses a 3 blade foil. It features the same nano blades with flexing technology just like the RF31 it just doesn’t get quite as close or feel as smooth because you have less blades working your face.
The ES-SL41-S comes with a built-in popup trimmer for edging up the beard or mustache and a charging stand for storing and recharging the unit nicely. It can be used either with shaving gels or dry. The shaver is also 100% waterproof so, like most other electric razors in this price range, it is safe to use in the shower.
5. Panasonic ES-RW30-S Dual Blade Shaver
The ES-RW30-S is by far Panasonic’s most affordable electric razor on the market. At the cost of just $35 it’s a trusty, well-built device for the price. It does have its setbacks, however. The unit only has a dual-blade cutting system so it won’t provide a buttery smooth, clean shave like other razors but if you’re looking for something cheap that’ll get the job done, this is probably your best bet.
Like all other Panasonic shavers this one is also a wet and dry unit so it’s perfectly fine to do your shaving in the shower with it. It features a pivoting head for getting every inch of your face with ease and a pop-up trimmer to finish the job up nicely. Overall, it’s a rather basic shaver but it does provide a decent cut for how inexpensive it is. So if you want to pinch pennies as much as possible, the ES-RW30-S Dual Blade Shaver is a winner.
